Love Series finals this weekend!!!!!

This weekend August 3rd and 4th there is a huge bmx event going on in Manteca at Spreckels Park bmx. The NorCal love series is a fund raising event in Northern California that was started to raise money for The Lucile Packard Children's to continue research for Childhood cancers. The inspiration for it all came about when one of our local riders Luke O'Moore was diagnosed with Leukemia. Luke is currently putting up a good fight and has inspired many people thru his untraditional methods of recovery.Against his doctors orders Luke has continued to BMX,ride scooters, and just be a normal kid through out the process. Last year we raised $10,000 dollars for his Charity Lukes Lemons, and all of it went directly to the hospital. We have raised $8,000 so far this year with the series and are looking to add a nice chunk to that with the finals. But the Love Series isnt just about raising money, its also about coming together as a community for a great cause and throwing down some of the best Pro and amateur racing in the country. We will Have a huge pro-am and Mini-am event following the Love series race.Mini-ams are like pro-ams for kids but instead of racing for money the kids race for prizes from some of their favorite companies. As well as prizes from Tangent,LDC,X-Brand,Phoenix pro scooters,Snap,Clif Bar,Revolution racing and Fly racing, the winner will recieve a sweet custom champions jersey from Nema. There are no proficiencies in the Mini-ams and will be broken down into the following age groups: 7 and under. 8-10 11-13 14-15 And a girls class. Entry fee for the love series charity race is $15 and is single points.$10 from each entry fee goes to the charity and $5 goes into the pro-am pot for a big payout.Entry fee for the mini ams are $10 with all proceeds going to the charity.Pro-am entry is $20 with all entry fees going back into the pro payout. Also there will be an old school show going on through out the day.On sunday There will also be a pro am and overnight camping is welcomed.Signups for Saturdays race are 10-12 with racing to follow.Hope to see some of you there. There is also a NoBS 35+ open going down as well and you know how that goes.
